Not all scaffolds can be built to standard patterns; some projects require custom designs. SMS Ltd offers a professional design service for scaffolds that are unusually high, wide, heavy or intricate. Working with independent design engineers, we provide structural calculations and detailed drawings that specify bay sizes, tie loads, and support beams. Our designs comply with TG20:21 and BS EN 12811 and address site-specific challenges such as restricted tie locations or high wind loads. Once approved, we construct the scaffold according to the plan and monitor its integrity throughout the project. This service is ideal for heritage restorations, industrial facilities and complex commercial builds in Warwickshire and across the Midlands.
